Spiral sand-water separator
It is mainly used for sand-water separation of the sand-water mixture discharged from the sand- removal equipment of the grit chamber to facilitate transportation. In the sewage treatment plant, it is the supporting equipment of the sand settling system. The sand and water mixed liquid discharged from the sedimentation tank is used for sand and water separation.
The installation angle of the spiral sand-water separator is between 20 ° -30 °. The sand-water mixed liquid enters the water tank from the water inlet pipe. The particles (such as sand particles) with a larger specific gravity in the mixed liquid are deposited on the bottom of the spiral groove due to the drop of the gravity surface. Under the push of the spiral, the material is lifted along the bottom of the inclined U-shaped groove. After leaving the liquid surface, it continues to move up a distance. The water in the sand gradually flows back to the water tank in the gap in the spiral groove, and the sand gradually dries out. At the material mouth, it falls into other conveying devices by its own weight. The supernatant was continuously flowing from the drain. To achieve the purpose of sand and water separation.
Construction and working process
1. Spiral sand-water separator is composed of shaftless spiral, lining strip, U-shaped groove, water tank, deflector, outlet weir and driving device.
2. The sand-water mixture enters the water tank from the top of one end of the separator, and the heavy liquid is heavy. For example, sand particles will be deposited at the bottom of the groove. Under the spiral drive, the sand particles will rise along the inclined groove bottom and leave the liquid surface. Continue to move for a distance, after the sand is fully dehydrated, it is discharged to the sand bucket through the sand discharge port, and the water separated from the sand water is discharged from the overflow port and sent to the plant into the pond.
