Swirl sand settler
The swirling sand settling tank is generally used for the pretreatment of sewage. It is placed before the sedimentation tank behind the grille. Its main function is to remove sand particles from the sewage, reduce the excessive wear of the sand on the machinery and equipment, and the operation and maintenance costs of the wastewater treatment facility.
The fluidized sand pool sand removing machine is composed of impeller, transmission shaft, motor, reducer and sand suction system. Because the impeller blade slurry tilts upwards, the sewage in the pool makes a spiral movement when rotated; plus the swirling flow that is consistent with the impeller rotation direction due to the tangential entry of sewage, the sewage in the pool forms a vortex flow state.
The grit chamber consists of the inlet, the outlet, the grit area, the sand bucket, the turbine drive device, and the sand removal system. Sewage flows into the grit area from the direction of the tangent of the inlet, and a drop weir is set up in the water inlet channel, so that the sand that may be deposited at the bottom of the channel slides downward into the grit basin; a baffle is also provided to allow the water flow and sand to enter the grit basin. Popular to the bottom of the pool and strengthen the wall effect. A speed-adjustable paddle board is provided in the middle of the grit chamber to keep the water flow in the tank in a circular flow. The paddle board, baffle, and inlet water flow are combined. The rotating turbine blades make the sand particles flow in a spiral shape, which promotes the separation of organic matter and sand particles. Due to the different centrifugal forces, the sand particles with larger phase density are thrown to the pool wall. Gravity sinks into the sand bucket; lighter organics are separated from the sand in the middle of the settling pond, and the organics are carried out of the pond with the vortex of the effluent. By adjusting the rotation speed, the best sand setting effect can be achieved. The sand settling in the sand bucket can be removed by air lifting, sand pumping and other methods, and then separated by sand and water to achieve the standard of clean sand drainage.
